Alex Pevzner

From lively toe-tappin cajon drum beats to folk-tastic guitar grooves, call Alex for your musical needs.

Alex Pevzner is a musician/actor born and raised on the South Shore of Massachusetts. He experienced many worlds of live entertainment while growing up, thanks to his parents’ constant involvement in community theatre and folk music. He got his earliest start in music playing a kazoo, spoons, and tambourine among musician family and friends. By the age of 11, he had begun playing guitar and saxophone. Alex went to college for music as a saxophone player but has always harbored a passion for rhythm, This love for rhythm ultimately led him to a deep appreciation for all forms of drumming. He took a 12 year hiatus from music to work outside of music and start a family. In the last few years, he has ventured wholeheartedly back into the music scene, enjoying the guitar, singing, and drumming (particularly on the cajon). Alex has a Martin acoustic guitar, a small Yamaha drum kit he can play, and, he loves playing gigs as the drummer on his Meinl cajon. He also plays solo singer/songwriter gigs.
